A One-Step Grafting Methodology Can Adjust Stem Morphology and Increase THCA Yield in Medicinal Cannabis

چکیده

The standard two-step methods for grafting horticultural crops involve cultivating the rootstock a period of time and then connecting scion. Medicinal Cannabis differs from most annual because it is usually clonally propagated cuttings. We developed methodology specifically medicinal Cannabis, involving single step, in which freshly cut scion grafted to donor stem that will become rootstock. This study also aimed uncover potential role roots influencing cannabinoid content. Two varieties with desirable attributes but cultivation limitations were selected act as scions. first, “CBD1” was high CBDA accumulating variety low biomass yield, second, “THC2”, yielding, THCA line inconsistent root development during cloning. candidate rootstocks, “THC9r” “THC8r”, identified; both THCA, varieties. Biomass yields THC2 scions THC9 rootstocks (THC9r_2s) 20% higher than non-grafted plants. In CBD1 plants, concentrations some minor cannabinoids significantly different CBD1, lower. There trend towards concentration THC9r_2s when combined increased biomass, yield 8 g Plant−1 13 Plant−1. Our results present new method improved required no additional time.

One-step grafting of polymers to graphene oxide.

The direct grafting of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) to the basal plane of graphene oxide has been achieved in a single step: cleavage of the terminal thiocarbonylthio group on RAFT grown poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) reveals a reactive thiol that attacks the epoxides present across the surface of graphene oxide. The new composite material was characterised by a combination of SSNMR, FTIR, Raman, E...

Does liberalizing cannabis laws increase cannabis use?

A key question in the ongoing policy debate over cannabis' legal status is whether liberalizing cannabis laws leads to an increase in cannabis use. Our identification strategy exploits variation in the timing of cannabis policy reforms and our estimation frame...
